A Linear Economy

Our modern world is built upon a linear economic model. In which we extract raw materials from the environment, shape them into useful things, and then dispose of them.

The linear economy depends on two assumptions:

1. That there will always be resources to be extracted 2. There will always be an "away" or a place to discard our waste

Neither of which are sustainable in the long-term.
